For the Class D (Passenger) Road Test, ensure you have the following:
A vehicle that is both licensed and registered, which you’ll use for the road test.
Your photo learner’s permit.
Glasses or contact lenses if required by your permit for vision correction.
Your original Pre-licensing Course Certificate (MV-278) or Student Certificate of Completion (MV-285). Please note, photocopies will not be accepted.
If you’re under 18, a completed Certification of Supervised Driving (MV-262) signed by your parent or guardian. This document must be presented to the license examiner each time you attempt the road test.
An accompanying driver who is at least 21 years old and holds a valid license for operating the test vehicle.
The test vehicle must be properly registered, pass inspection, function correctly, and be clean.
The test vehicle may only carry the driver and the accompanying licensed adult; no additional passengers are permitted.
